China’s broadcasting regulator has banned a reality TV show in which contestants competed to win plastic surgery, which was then carried out live on television.
Most people get a tummy tuck or facelift in the privacy of their clinic or hospital. But in China, it is become a very public affair. Television reality shows feature a patient having a makeover live on TV in front of a studio audience.
