They say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, but recent research suggests taking a different route. Alan Hirsh, a researcher at the Smell and Taste Treatment and Research Foundation in Chicago, found that there may be some sexy scents that get his heart pumping even faster than meatloaf.
According to the study, which measured blood flow to the subjects’ sexy spots in response to certain smells, the most arousing odors for either sex were neither perfumes nor colognes. In fact, men’s cologne and barbeque meat were a turn off to the women studied. (I have to completely reevaluate my Old Spice and baby back ribs first date.)
