Facial hair is not only a natural thing, it’s also a cultural phenomenon. Many cultures celebrate facial hair for men, and thick beards are seen as a symbol of male virility. On the other hand most cultures do not likewise value facial hair on women, and usually stigmatize the condition and the woman as being somehow less feminine than other women.
Most people have some amount of hair over their bodies and the only differences between people’s facial hair involve thickness and quantity.
By fortune of birth I was born in America and I don’t have any problems with my facial hair. In fact it is something of an annoyance to shave all the time. Even if I don’t shave for a few days I still don’t feel too self-conscious about it.
It seems that a lot of western women say they like the look of a man with a little facial hair stubble, but are not attracted to beards or mustaches. However, it’s also true that even if they liked the look of it, it’s not so desirable when it comes to close facial contact ie:kissing type contact. What may look masculine and sexy can apparently feel like sandpaper to a girl and leave behind a visible rash on her face.
