Maybe hormones aren’t so bad for women’s hearts after all — if the women are still in their 50s. In a postscript to a landmark study five years ago that led millions of women to abandon hormones during menopause, a new review suggests the heart risks for this group of women were overstated.

A drug to boost female sex drive could be worth billions to the company that manages to get it approved by the FDA. Recently, two new treatments have made strides towards that goal. ­­­But some are skeptical of the real value of such a drug to the women it’s supposed to help.
